I made this boat winch using a 12 volt ATV recovery winch. I dissembled the unit and cut the drum in 1/2, from that point the pictures show how it was put back together. I am very happy with the way it performs out at sea, I don't now have to listen to the wife moan and groan pulling the anchor.
